Minister of Public Security Lương Tam Quang emphasized that cyberspace is becoming a new combat environment and a vibrant arena for all aspects of social life, posing urgent demands for cybersecurity protection.

On August 5, the Ministry of Public Security organized Vietnam Cybersecurity Day and related events under the theme: “Cybersecurity Milestones and Directions in the Nation’s Era of Advancement.”
Speaking at the event, Minister Lương Tam Quang stressed that a large number of cyberattacks have recently been detected, prevented, and effectively disrupted. Crimes that exploit cyberspace to infringe on security and social order, and to undermine the peaceful lives and happiness of citizens, have been timely detected and dealt with strictly. The people’s cybersecurity posture in cyberspace is being gradually built and reinforced, aiming toward an increasingly safe and healthy Vietnamese cyberspace.

Minister Lương Tam Quang observed that, in the context of increasing cybersecurity risks, cyberspace is not only a new operational domain but also a space that dynamically reflects all aspects of social life. This raises ever-higher requirements and tasks for cybersecurity protection. He emphasized: “We must awaken a sense of responsibility, legal compliance awareness, vigilance, and self-protection among every organization and individual participating in cyberspace, so that each citizen truly becomes a defender of cybersecurity.”
The Minister also requested continued improvement of the political and legal foundations, and tangible progress in implementing the Party’s directives and State laws on cybersecurity protection; and the construction of a people’s security posture in cyberspace based on a solid foundation of public trust.
